Ace Bowen led the nation with 155 tackles last year and he is just now starting to get the press he well deserves. SI.com recently named him one of the top 10 players in the Big 12.

As good as Bowen is on the field he may be even better off it. Bowen will be taking care of his 12 year old brother this year while finishing up classes and his senior season. His brother, Jamar Summers, was “getting a little rambunctious” back in East Orange, NJ and Ace thought it would be a good idea to get him out of that environment. Jamar is living with Bowen and his roommate Lee Tibbs. The Cedar Rapids Gazette has a nice story on Ace and Jamar.
