- Iowa State Coaching Staff – The defensive game plan by Wally Burnham was brilliant forcing 5 Cowboy turnovers, Tom Herman’s offense outgained the #1 OSU offense in the nation and his play calling in overtime was perfect, Everyone was ALL IN for Coach Rhoads including the players, coaches and fans.
- QB Jared Barnett- Jared had 460 yards of offense and 3 touchdowns – 3 starts, 3 wins enough said.
- WR Albert Gary – Gary is really coming on strong. Albert had 7 catches for 109 yards and a touchdown
- WR/KR Jarvis West – Was a key player as a receiver and returner, had 114 total yards
- RB Jeff Woody – Once again finished the game in style, gained 25 yards on three carries in overtime, ending with the game winning 4 yard touchdown run.
- WR Aaron Horne – Was a weapon at receiver and did a great job of filling in for the injured Josh Lenz on returns, had 108 total yards
- LB A.J. Klein – A.J. led the team with 14 tackles and forced a fumble.
- CB Leonard Johnson – Leonard did a great job on future top 5 NFL draft pick Justin Blackmon. LJ had 5 tackles and an interception
