Ben Lamaak played quarterback in high school, moved to tight end as an Iowa State freshman and will be the Cyclones starting left tackle for the opening game in 2007. After watching Lamaak play in the Shrine game following his senior year I was very excited he was coming to Iowa State. He played tight end in the game and showed the speed and soft hands of a tight end despite having the build of an offensive lineman. Sooner or later I knew he was going to be a tackle; the move finally came following spring practice. Ben quickly added 20 pounds of muscle this summer and picked up the intricacies of the offensive line just as fast.
There are two very good articles on Ben Lamaak on http://www.gocyclones.com/.
