Kurtis Taylor is back from injury and is currently listed as the starter at strong side defensive end for the Cyclones. Taylor missed the entire 2006 season with a knee injury, but he says the knee has been 100% since January He made the most of his time out last year by hitting his studies hard, Kurtis earned his undergraduate degree in communications studies earlier this fall.
Defensive Coordinator Wayne Bolt has been impressed with Taylor and expects him to have a great year. Taylor can’t wait for the season opener against Kent State. “You have to be hungry — whether it’s football or in life, you have to be hungry,” Taylor said. “You have to have goals and you have to strive for them.
