The forecast for Ames on Saturday calls for mid 60’s and light winds. Don’t get me wrong I like nice weather, but deep inside I was hoping for mid 20’s and blustery winds.

I have been looking forward to writing this article all week long. The victory last week over Nebraska in Lincoln will go down as one of the greatest in Cyclone history.

The Cyclones are riding high after winning on the road at Nebraska for the 1st time in 32 years. I worry about a let down this week after the huge win.

A celebration was held in the Bergstrom Practice Facility in Ames to welcome Coach Paul Rhoads and the Cyclone Football Team home after they went to Nebraska and beat the Cornhuskers.

The Iowa State Cyclones beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers 9-7 in Lincoln, Nebraska in front of over 85,000 fans. The win snapped an Iowa State losing streak at Nebraska that dated back to 1977.
